He has more than ten years of experience in volunteer work and is a philanthropist and nonprofit consultant of international renown. His expertise and experience have assisted CAIR-FL in becoming a leading American Muslim civil rights organization. He has advocated for individuals whose civil rights have been violated. As a result, he became a controversial attorney who has been cited by news organizations worldwide.

Hassan was conceived in Damascus, Syria. At the tender age of four, he moved to the United States. He graduated Magna Cum Laureate with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He then continued his education at the University at Buffalo School of Law, where he graduated near the top of his class after receiving numerous scholarships.

After receiving his law degree, Shibly worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Eugene H. Nickerson in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Before moving to Tampa, Florida, where he is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CAIR-Florida, the largest Muslim civil rights organization in the state, he practiced law at two prestigious New York City law firms.

Under Hassan , CAIR-Florida has developed into one of the nation's leading Muslim civil rights organizations. He has also played an important role in establishing relationships with people of all origins and beliefs.

Additionally, he provides free legal assistance to families and low-income residents in the Tampa Bay area.

Shibly uses public speaking and social media marketing, political activism and lobbying, appearances and interviews with traditional media, and fundraising to spread his message of justice and civil rights.

In addition to Help Yateem USA, he founded a traditional Islamic educational publishing company. A nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting orphans in Africa. Hassan has raised millions of dollars for various worthy causes, including defending American civil rights and assisting those in foreign countries.

As an attorney, Mr. Shibly has defended Muslims subjected to discrimination, harassment, and civil rights violations. He has been a vocal opponent of the Trump administration's Muslim ban and other anti-Muslim sentiments and practices. He has also filed lawsuits challenging the validity of the prohibition.

Shibly has received several accolades and awards for his civil rights attorney and community activist work. In 2014, he was named "Attorney of the Year" by the Florida Bar Association. In 2016, the Huffington Post named him one of the "50 American Leaders Who Are Changing the World."
